New Website Interview > Building and Outside Photos

Building and outside photos can be a great opener for your website. They help your visitor recognize they are in the right place.

  • Here's a tip: If you have a nice entry. Take one photo straight on and show the whole entryway.
  • Here's a tip: Take a shot of the building from across and down the street (or the parking lot). See if you can make a long building fit into your full frame with some perspective.
  • Here's a tip: Get a shot of any signs that are especially welcoming.
  • Here's a tip: Get a shot of some good looking people coming in the front door. Or coming out of the front door laughing and looking like they just had a great time.
  • Here's a tip: Remember, these shots are only what we are using to start out. They don't have to be perfect, or professional. They need to be something. Just get out and take some shots with your smartphone.
  • Here's a tip: If you have more photos. Bring them on, our content experts will match up the best shots at every opportunity we can.
  • Here's a tip: More photos are almost always better. Sometimes, we can crop out something really interesting. Or, we can enhance the photo with a style and make it a background...
once done, return to the New Website Interview and select another topic.

Tips:

If the image is a .JPG make sure it is as large as possible, as smaller images tend to blur or pixelate when they are made bigger.

Never put images in a Microsoft Word or PowerPoint document - The quality will be diminished and it takes a long time to pull the image from the files costing us valuable time we could spend improving your site.

If you have your image in multiple formats (sizes, colors, orientation, or formats), please upload only the original.  We will take care of resizing and cropping.
